My parents immigrated to the U.S. from Mexico and settled in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side of Chicago. I was born and raised in the Little Village community along with my brother and sister. I am a proud graduate of CPS neighborhood schools and have been an educator for over 15 years.
As an educator who was born and raised on the south west side of Chicago, I have dedicated myself to serving students in Chicago Public Schools, particularly in communities that have historically been underserved. My educational philosophy is deeply rooted in the belief that all students can learn and deserve access to rigorous, culturally responsive, high quality instruction that prepares them for post-secondary success.
