Bio:

I am excited to begin my 12th year with CPS. I have earned a Bachelor’s Degree of Science from Purdue University in Mathematics Education where I also earned my Teaching Credentials. I have also earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education and also hold an active Administrators License. I am certified by the Illinois Board of Education to teach mathematics from grades 6 to 12. I have several years of experience in teaching our new curriculum and was a part of the team that was trained to use the High School Mathematics Content Framework which is being used to transition to the Common Core State Standards. I remain up-to-date on new teaching methods and trends in mathematics through personal exploration and through attending professional development. Outside of the classroom, I am currently the Head Girls Track and Field Coach and have 9 years of coaching experience prior to this year. I am also an avid sports fan that enjoys football (Chicago Bears and Purdue University), Baseball (Chicago White Sox), Track and Field, and College Basketball (Purdue University). I lead an active lifestyle and hope to impart my enthusiasm and encourage our students to pursue the same.

Vision:

To recruit student-athletes that are excited about the sport and push them towards personal and team growth. While our goal is to have students qualify for the IHSA state meet, the most important thing to our coaching staff is for our student-athletes to experience various events in the sport, improve in the events they want to focus on, and enjoy the time on our team.
