Applications Now Open for Honorary Student Board Member for the 2022-23 School Year
Applications are now being accepted for next school year’s Honorary Student Board Member. All CPS students who will be in 11th or 12th-grade during the 2022-23 school year are encouraged to apply by the application deadline of Friday, April 29, 2022.
- A $1,000 scholarship will be presented to the Honorary Student Board Member after graduating high school and upon attending a two or four year college or university.
- An Honorary Student Board Member is selected annually to represent the CPS student body by attending the Chicago Board of Education’s monthly meetings that are held on the fourth Wednesday of each month. The Honorary Student Board Member, you are also expected to serve as an appointed member to the CPS Student Advisory Council (SAC) and/or Student Voice and Activism Fellowship (SVAF). Interested rising Juniors and Seniors (current 10th and 11th graders) must submit an application to the Board Office before 5:00 pm on April 29, 2022.
- To be eligible, the student must hold a 3.0 G.P.A. or above and proven leadership experience.
